8-10 year olds

I received an e-mail two days ago with my forms and directions to apply for my student visa. I will spend my Spring Break working on my application that will actually allow me to stay and work in the country. Without these forms my summer will not happen. Some of the forms were simple, but one form is over thirty pages long. Apparently the Australian Government needs to know your life story before they allow you to pay lots of money to stay in their country and work for nothing. I was told in my e-mail to get it done early so that I don't have to worry about last minute problems and can spend my time "packing, saying goodbyes, and contemplating all the wonderful times you will be having overseas". I'm pretty sure I am going to be mostly focused on the flight over....what I can only assume will be the LONGEST 24 hours of my life.

I have also received an e-mail from the teacher I will be working with. I will be working with Adam Willis in his Stage 2 classroom of eight to ten year old students at Rozelle Public School. He is a new teacher and a mentor teacher for the area. I hoping that since he is a new teacher he will be able to guide me not only in my internship, but my social life while I am there. After all, I can't travel all the way to Sydney and only spend my time teaching. Adam seems really nice from his e-mail and I look forward getting to work with students in stage 2.

This whole process is getting closer and closer to reality. I am extremely excited, but a little nervous because I know this is me taking a huge jump outside of my comfort zone! It will be an adventure, but I know no matter how nervous I am, by the middle of August I will be having the time of my life and not wanting to leave.
