Uhhh, that guy is walking a goat

Friday night was staff night out after work and it was a lot of fun. It was nice to get to hang out with everyone outside of work and be a little more relaxed. We went to dinner at this bar and then stayed for some drinks before heading to a couple other bars. I only made it to 3 bars before I had to go back and get some sleep. A lot of them kept going, but I was dying and needed to go to bed! I felt like such an old person, it was only 12:30 and I could have passed out standing up at the bar. Luckily we weren't too far away from where I lived so I could just walk home.

I slept in until about 10 Saturday morning which was soooo nice. I kind of relaxed a bit and did some stuff I needed to get done, like laundry, cleaning, and planning (not much of it as I should have done, but a little). I was going to hang out with a couple of girls and go to the Powerhouse Museum, but it turned out to be such a nice day that I just wanted to be outside. Tori and I decided to go explore some of the neighborhoods that we haven't been to yet. We started at the markets at Glebe. They were similar to the Paddington Markets, but much much cheaper. There wasn't quite as much there and some of it was total junk, but there was some really cute things. We ended up wandering through Newtown after and it was a very eccentric area, but really cool. There were lots of great shops and cute places to eat. We also saw a man walking two goats on a leash. This city never fails to amaze me. We ended up in the "Little Italy" area for dinner and had some really amazing Italian food! Of course we had to stop for some Gelato! It was amazing and way better than any other Gelato that I have had in the States. We got a little lost trying to find a bus to get home, but managed to figure it out and ended up safe and sound in our apartment by 9pm.

I was planning on spending today working on some lesson plans and getting some stuff ready for when Mackenzie gets here; however, some of the girls are heading over to Manly and I think I may join them. I will get it all done at some point, but I am only here to experience Australia once.
